Thankful Thursday: Summer Intern Edition!

Thankful Thursday is back again this week with our Intern Edition! In honor of our spectacular group of summer interns, we’d like to take the next few weeks to honor them and all of the great things they’re working on this summer at Rogers. In case you’ve missed the last few blog posts, Rogers has decided to implement a weekly #thankfulthursday to show appreciation for all that we have to be thankful for throughout the year.

In this week’s installment, we would like to show off our HR intern, Sarah Halverson – we are so excited to have her with us for the summer!

Sarah is currently a student at Baylor University and she is expected to graduate in the spring of 2019 with a degree in Human Resource Management. I sat down with Sarah a couple of weeks ago to get some insight to her interest in Rogers and what she’s most looking forward to this summer as a member of our HR team.

Sarah, what peaked your interest in Rogers?

“Rogers offers a lot of learning opportunities in the HR field, which many companies do not. Rogers is also in a great location that is close to home.”

What are you most excited to learn at Rogers this summer?

“Learning how to handle real HR related responsibilities and seeing what it is like to work in a professional environment.”

What are your summer goals within your role at Rogers?

“To be able to confidently execute HR tasks and grow in my overall skill set so that when I get back to school I will be able to relate my experiences to things I’m learning in the classroom.”

Sarah, you’re already doing such a wonderful job and we can’t wait to see all that you accomplish! Congratulations on your spotlight Sarah, you more than deserve it!

We’re proud to have you as a new member of the Rogers Family!
